Remote: Call Forwarding

This feature allows a remote extension to forward calls to another 10 digit number by turning off the call forwarding feature. This is for all calls that will be going to your remote extension number in the 600 range.

To turn ON or OFF you first need to dial your main phone number to access the system. When you get the system dial-tone enter one of the following codes.

  1. Turn ON by dialing 9972, #
  2. Dial the 10 digit phone number to forward calls to
  3. Press #
  1. Turn OFF by dialing 9973, #

Remote: Call Screening

This feature allows a remote extension to cause a caller to record their name to be played before you answer a call.. This is for all calls that will be going to your remote extension number in the 600 range.

To turn ON or OFF you first need to dial your main phone number to access the system. When you get the system dial-tone enter one of the following codes.

  1. Turn ON by dialing 9962, #
  1. Turn OFF by dialing 9963, #

Remote: Call Verification

This feature is ON by default and gives the remote extension in the range of 600 the option to ‘Press 1’ to answer a call forwarded to the system to a mobile phone. This feature is on by DEFAULT.

To turn ON or OFF you first need to dial your main phone number to access the system. When you get the system dial-tone enter one of the following codes.

  1. Turn ON by dialing 9989, #
  1. Turn OFF by dialing 9988, #

Remote: DND

This feature allows a remote extension to stop receiving calls by turning on Do Not Disturb. All calls that are going to your remote extension number in the 600 range. To start receiving calls again turn off the Do Not Disturb feature.

To turn ON or OFF you first need to dial your main phone number to access the system. When you get the system dial-tone enter one of the following codes.

  1. Turn ON by dialing 9979, #
  1. Turn OFF by dialing 9978, #

Conference Room (outside callers)

You need to be on a call to use this feature.  Once on a call:

1. Dial *1, then the conference room number (any number between 3000-3019)
2. Hang up
3. Local extensions can join the same room if needed or more outsides callers can be transferred to the same conference room.

Note:  A blind transfer (*1) is used when you want to transfer a call to digits with more than 3 digits. Using Attended Transfer (*2) will not work because *2 is limited to 3 digit and conference rooms are 4 digits.

Set DND

Unless you have a office phone like the Cisco SPA series phone there isn’t one button to turn on for DND (do not disturb). The short code to turn on and off DND is below:

To turn on:
1. Dial 9979 and press send/dial

To turn off:
1. Dial 9978 and press send/dial

If you are using a provisioned remote or mobile phone dial your main business phone number to get access the the phone system.

When you hear the dial tone dial 9979# to turn on DND

Repeat the same step but dial 9978# to turn off DND

GS Restart Gateway

Quick procedure:
1. Press ‘Menu’
2. Dial 4, Press ‘Select’
3. Dial 9, Press ‘Select’
4. Dial 3, Press ‘Select’
5. Dial password ‘0000’
6. Confirm ‘Yes’ that you are sure you want to reboot.

Detailed instructions:
From the home screen of the cordless phone press the ‘Menu’ button which is the left menu button just under the display.

Dial 4 on the dial pad and press ‘Select’ button which is the left menu button just under the display.

Dial 9 on the dial pad and press ‘Select’ button which is the left menu button just under the display.

Dial 3 on the dial pad and press ‘Select’ button which is the left menu button just under the display.

Dial the password on the dial pad. Default password is ‘0000’ or ‘1234’.

Press the ‘Yes’ button which is the left menu button just under the display.

 

Sending a Fax from Email (Oct 2020: item 4)

Referred to as “Email to Fax”, this process is described below:

1. Go to faxmojo.net and login to your account. Use your credentials to login included with your welcome email with subject: “Welcome to faxmojo”

2. Once logged in you will see the inbox where new and old message will be kept.

3. To start faxing you will need to click on the ‘Compose’ icon at the upper left of the page.

4. Type in the To: fiend the fax number in the following format and as shown below: 1 + (area code) + prefix + 4 digits.

UPDATED Oct 1st 2020: need to add SEND before myfax.com as updated just below.

5. Don’t type anything into the body or subject. Attach the file(s) to be faxed. Attach files to the email message in the order you want them to show up on the other side. It is best to have the order of the pages in one file to get the best results to guarantee the  page order to be sent in the fax transmission

6. Press “Send” for the email message to be sent to the fax servers.

7. Give it 2-3 minutes and your fax transmission will be sent to the phone number you typed in the To: field in the email.

Note: You need to have a subscription for this to work because we need to register specific email addresses that will be allowed to send and receive faxes.

Faxing from Email

Typically described as email to fax, this process is described below:

  1. Open a new message as though you were going to start a new email message.
  2. Type in the fax number in the following syntax in To: field: 18005551212 followed by @myfax.com
  3. Make sure to include the 1 before the area code to get a full 10 digits.
  4. Attach files to the email message in the order you want them to show up on the other side. The attached files are the fax pages.
  5. It is best to have the order of the pages in one file to get the best results to guarantee the  page order the pages will be sent in the fax transmission.
  6. Press “Send” for the email message to be sent to the fax servers.
  7. Give it 2-3 minutes and your fax transmission will be sent to the phone number you typed in the To: field in the email.
